There is an Epidemic going round!
Some of our best customers are giving us C1R10.
But I'm not complaining!
C1R10 is the one business owners like to catch.
It raises the temperature of your production and delivery activity, leads to swelling of your order book and bank balance and gives you a headache deciding whether to play golf, take the chopper over to Le Touquet, or just stay in bed.
What are the early symptoms of C1R10?
A sure way of telling is when everyone in your company says, over and over, "Our best customers come to us through recommendations".
It is clear it is taking hold when customers, suppliers and even complete strangers start to tell you "I know someone who would really benefit from what you do and I think they are your kind of people".
C1R10 has reached maturity when each of your customers has given you at least 10 referrals - hence the name (C=Customers, 1, R=Referrals, 10).
On planes, on the Tube, in the wine bars you can hear the same thing - "You should talk to these guys - their best customers come to them through recommendations ..."
Not to be sneezed at!
